First, it quickly and accurately communicates the production schedule to the shop floor. The window displays pictures, drawings and documents and produces bar cod ed work orders, specifications, and material identification tags at the touch of a finger.

Second, the system enables employees to input data right on the floor – as the work is done – without the use of a keyboard. The data collected includes production counts, machine downtime, product defects, material yields and quality status, as well as labor hours and materials used for set up and maintenance. This information is constantly updated and available on-line, providing an up-to-the-minute analysis of production throughput, efficiencies and utilization.
